Waxing Basics

What is a Brazilian wax? How is it different from a bikini wax?
A Brazilian wax removes all the hair in your intimate areas — including the labia (if you’re a woman) and the peri-anal area. At your request, we can even give you a variation called the “Playboy Wax,” where a small shape or strip is left on the front. A bikini wax only removes the hair that would be visible outside the edges of your swimsuit bottom.

Do you wax men?
Definitely! We understand that manscaping is just as important as ladyscaping, so we offer everything from brows to body to “Brozilian”, all in a comfortable, discreet, and professional setting.

What areas of my body are waxable?
We provide full-body waxing services, from brows to Brazilian. Your friendly, experienced esthetician will gladly answer any specific questions or address any concerns you might have.

Who should wax?
Anyone who wants to feel clean, smooth, and confident! We welcome men and women of all ages. Brazilian waxing is even safe for pregnant women. Just be sure to fill out our consent form so we can review your medical history and skin sensitivities.

Before & After Care

How long does the hair have to be?
For the smoothest results, hair should be at least ¼ inch long — usually 3–4 weeks of growth. Please avoid shaving or trimming between visits so your hairs grow in an even cycle.

What do I need to do to prepare for my first Brazilian/bikini wax?
Please shower or freshen up beforehand (wet wipes are provided if needed). For the best results, avoid shaving or trimming for at least 3 weeks so hair is at least ¼ inch long. Lightly exfoliate a few days before your appointment for a cleaner wax. If you’re sensitive to pain, you may take an over-the-counter pain reliever 20–30 minutes beforehand.

Does waxing hurt?
Our trained estheticians use proven techniques to make your experience as comfortable as possible. Some mild discomfort is normal depending on hair thickness, skin sensitivity, and the area being waxed. The good news is, the more you wax, the finer and easier your hairs become to remove. After just a few sessions, the process becomes gentler and faster.

Can I wax if I’m on my period?
Yes, you can! Just wear a clean tampon or menstrual cup (we provide them at the studio if needed). Keep in mind, you may feel slightly more sensitive than usual.

Can I wax if I’m pregnant?
Absolutely! Many of our expecting clients choose to wax throughout pregnancy. We use gentle techniques and plant-based wax that’s safe for sensitive skin. For added comfort, we also provide pillow support for moms-to-be.

What should I do after my wax?
For the first 24 hours: avoid hot showers, tanning beds, saunas, friction, and heavy exercise; skip tight clothing to prevent irritation. Gently exfoliate 2–3 times per week afterward to help prevent ingrown hairs.

How long before the hair starts growing back?
Hair growth cycles vary for everyone, but on average, you’ll notice new growth in 3–5 weeks.

How often should I wax?
We recommend waxing every 4-5 weeks for consistently smooth, silky skin.

How can I prevent ingrown hairs?
To minimize ingrown hairs:
– Exfoliate gently 2–3 times per week using a soft scrub or exfoliating glove.
– Keep the area moisturized with a non-comedogenic lotion.
– Avoid tight clothing for 24–48 hours post-wax.
– Consider booking a vajacial 3 days after your wax to treat and prevent ingrowns.

Brows & Lashes

What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination is a noninvasive, semipermanent procedure that redirects eyebrow hair for a fuller look, similar to microblading but without pigment. It takes 30-45 minutes and results in healthier, fuller-looking brows.

How long does brow lamination last?
Eyebrow lamination typically lasts 4-6 weeks.

Special Treatments

What is a vajacial? Who should get it, and when?
A vajacial is a 30-minute skincare treatment designed for women’s intimate areas. It:

  • Treats ingrown hairs
  • Removes dead skin cells
  • Smooths bumps along the bikini line
  • Helps prevent acne
  • Improves hyperpigmentation
  • Keeps skin soft, healthy, and hydrated
The treatment includes cleansing, steaming, exfoliation, extractions (if needed), a hydrating mask, and moisturizer. It’s safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. We recommend booking a vajacial about 3 days after your wax for the best results.
